Symposium

Yesterday's symposium went pretty smoothly. It was nice being able to have a recap of all the work everyone has done this semester. It was especially nice to hear more about the the workshops led by Katie and Shandi since they worked independently. Sarah and I decided a while ago that we wanted to do a small scale recreation of our card making workshop at Armory Park since our classmates weren't able to attend. We wanted to give a quick rundown of our process and experience and also allow everyone to play a little bit with making a card of their own. I put together small packets of recycled papers and embellishments that would be generic enough for people to let their creativity guide them. Jake came up with the adorable card above. Very impressive! Tara's tie dye demonstration was another highlight. I'm looking forward to her actual workshop at BICAS next year. It was really nice that Casey was able to join us, and it was great to hear that our partnership seemed to make a significant impact in the success of the auction. Woohoo!
