Another great mall workshop!

On Tuesday November 8th my group facilitated our U of A mall workshop to help raise awareness for Bicas and the annual art auction. We were blessed with a gorgeous chilly fall morning which actually turned into a comfortable sunny day! I felt like we got a great turnout we ended up decorating more than a hundred recycled bottle caps. One very sweet classmate brought a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies which were even more popular than our offering of otter pops! Towards the warmer part of the afternoon the otter pops became a big hit! The food was just incentive for people to join in with the art project, but many people were really interested in learning about Bicas and the upcoming auction. Our group members asked the participants questions like where did you hear about our booth? Would you be interested in learning more about the bike community here in Tucson? Most people were happy to speak with us, I remember only one guy who felt put-off by our questioning, he left but he did walk by later and eyed the activities. For the most part people were very friendly and they seemed to have a fun time decorating their bottle caps. I cannot wait to get together with my group and assemble the big art project! I may have to bid on it myself, hopefully the competition will not be too stiff!
