Bottlecap Art Workshop at the University of Arizona
For our workshop, we were able to bring together several University of Arizona students to help decorate our collaborative art piece. It was wonderful to see many students interested in this workshop and able to contribute their own small works of art to help us out. This workshop was successful for many reasons, but mostly for our group's organization.
To grab people's attention, we attempted to ask them if they would like a free otterpop. Surprisingly, many people declined, but still helped us out with designing a bottlecap. This was great because it showed that they had an interest in our workshop and our goal to support the arts. The bottlecaps were quick to make for all types of artists. Many people wanted to help, but did not think that they were good at drawing. Our pre-drawn bottle caps worked in getting them involved with the designing.
The workshop to design bottlecaps for our final artpiece to be donated to the auction was a success. We had many people come help us out, and at the same time, we were able to provide them with information about BICAS and our Art Education program! I think that this workshop will be successful in many places, and hopefully we will continue to provide this type of group activity to the community for a great time will getting a positive message out! :)
