Holiday Card Making Workshop, Prep Stage

Today Jenna Robey and I held a holiday card making workshop at Armory Park Community Center.  It is a community center for all, but they focus on working to enhance the lives of the senior citizen community of Tucson by providing all sorts of social events for them, including super-intense games of  Wii bowling ; Jenna and I got to watch a good one today :)  They are really wonderful people there,  we were very excited to work with them, and we felt that the feeling was reciprocated.
We did quite a bit of prep work before going in- Aside from working out the arrangements with the center and making/delivering flyers, we spent a number of hours gathering materials, pre-making lots of (tiny) embellishments,  cutting cards, and preparing sample cards for inspiration,  among other things.  We had to consider the demographic we would be working with in deciding what to do before hand, and what to leave to them. We knew that abilities would vary considerably, so we wanted to be as prepared as we could be to offer as much as possible.  All was well worth the effort for an excellent experience for everyone, which I will post about later  :D

Just a small portion of the many scraps we had to work with :)
