At first, it seemed like we weren't getting much pedestrian participation or inquiry, despite the fact that we had some classmates trying to attract the passersby. However, after about 11:30, a lot more people began circulating through the mall, meaning we began to get people approaching our table for various reasons. Some people wanted info about BICAS, some just wanted to see what was going on, and a few people even came to make bags! One man who rode up on his bike, stuck around long enough to make a really nice bag!
Overall we were all very satisfied with the way the workshop went. Sure, we would've loved to have a bigger turnout, but we were just pleased with ourselves for accomplishing a successful workshop that wasn't a total dud! Also, we got a lot of awesome bags donated to BICAS to sell at the art auction that were made by classmates, friends, and Marissa! We had a lot of fun and got to bring BICAS and community art to the center of the UA community, which was our primary goal and intent.
