We had the first workshop of the class, and I think the compatibility and camaraderie of our group really helped things go smoothly. We had a pretty good idea of the logistics of the day, but when Shawna came to talk to the class, she offered a few more insights that were really helpful. Our Shawna made a really great instruction sheet that made it easy for us to teach everyone our craft (even those who didn't know how to sew). We had done a good job of dividing our tasks and supply duties, and everyone in the group did an awesome job with their jobs. I was super surprised that we had one man who came specifically for the workshop. He'd gotten the email from Bicas. He did a great job! We got about 10 bags donated. Casey suggested that we use the leftover pre-cut materials to sell at the merch table at the auction as kits. We made $2 in donations. I was happy with the turn out, we had more non-class people than I expected. I was also really happy to see how everyone really individualized their bags. Some people made purses, some people made neat fasteners, and others did cool decorative stitches. Thanks for the cookies Jenna!
