Since I'm working alone a lot of people don't really know what I'm doing. So here's a brief statement, my workshop is a different. I have received permission to go into a private school and teach the students there an art lesson. My connection to this private school is that is attached to my church and my sister is the kindergarten teacher and one of the art teachers for all the students. The students will be making blessings in life and/or what we are thankful for in our lives. They will be making blessing bracelets and write a blessing on it. My workshop is broken up into 2 days the 10th and the 15th. They will be two different groups of kids. First will be a group kindergarten to second grade and my second group will be third through 5th grade. The students together will be creating a collaborative piece for their school.
There has been a lot of prep for it I did write up a lesson plan as well as a letter to the school asking permission. I'm in the process of washing parts and shopping for additional things I need. I have also made prototypes of some bracelet designs.
