Flyer Routes

Unfortunately I was unable to make the meeting this week, but I am planning on attending the one next Thursday that starts after class. I did spend some time on Monday posting auction flyers throughout the art building and made sure to pass a couple along to Shana and Traci to share with their classes.
Tomorrow will be spent, with Downi, giving flyers to the businesses on the routes I offered to take. It may seem like a lot but I'm confident that it will go well. Perhaps I have an advantage from doing some flyering when I took the class as an undergrad ;) What follows is the email from Troy:

Thanks Cynthia, Alicia, and Downi, The list has been updated,

Thank you to everyone for your help in distributing the Art Auction fliers for this years event. As of the meeting on Wednesday we are looking specifically for help from those of you that have not been heavily involved with coordination of this years fundraiser in distribution of the flier. It will take a load off of the backs of those that have spent many hours detailing this event. It may take most of a day to do one or more of these routes but its incredibly important that we not only put up fliers at these locations but that we make contact with managers/owners, explain what BICAS is and deliver BICAS trifolds to these businesses listed below. It is also important to forge relationships with new businesses and if you see anyplace that is not listed below to form a new relationship and please let me know so we can continue that relationship into the future.

Special thanks to Alicia and Downi from the U of A in their help with distribution of fliers and enthusiasm.
What to bring with you-

1. The list ofplaces you are going to flier. Amap of the places. You may need togoogle map some of them if you are not familiar with the area.
2. More thanenough fliers to complete your route (large, medium and hand bills).
3. Tape andthumb tacks.
4. A stack ofBICAS Tri-Folds with you to leave with at places and give to people that areunfamiliar with BICAS. 5. A stack of stickers with you to giveout to people that are bicas supporters.

TIPS FOR GOOD ETIQUETTE FOR POSTING FLIERS.
1. Its alwayspolite to ask first (some places will take down your flier if the manager doesnot approve it.)
2. If you talkto the manager or owner, introduce yourself and ask them if they are familiarwith BICAS? If yes, great, if no,then hand them a tri-fold and give them a sticker and let them know. It’s a great opportunity to makesome connections at local businesses and also a good time to ask for donationsof goods or services if applicable.

Pleaselet Troy know about any places that you post fliers that are not on this listso that they can be added or places that are no longer so that they can beremoved.
