Bottle Cap Workshop!

Our workshop is creating a collaboration art project that will be donated to BICAS and sold at the auction. The art piece is created out of recycled materials, specifically, bottle caps. The bottle caps (which are painted solid white ahead of time) will be decorated by the public with sharpies and color pencils. Each cap has the opportunity to express it's own message via image and/or text of the creators choosing. After the workshop, our group will then arrange the caps on a board (also recycled) into an image of a bicycle.

Our mission with this workshop is to spread the word about BICAS through art. The public will get an opportunity to create their own unique bottle cap design and contribute to the collaboration. To see the art work in its completed stage, they will need to come to the auction to view it and hopefully bid on it as well as other art pieces. We are hoping that this will encourage more people to come to the event and learn more about BICAS.

I have been collecting lots of bottle caps. I think I have about 600 now. I collect them from a local restaurant, El Guero Canelo. I clean them, dry them, and paint them with flat white spray paint.
