Preparation for My Groups Work Shop

This Tuesday on the 8th of November I and my group will be teaching and hosting a work shop within the U of A mall. We are going to have students contribute their time to develop a communal art work which will be primarily be crafted with bottle caps. In which upon completion of this collaborated piece, we will be donating it to the yearly art auction at BICAS. While teaching the workshop we will also be attempting to promote BICAS to the university’s student body, which will hopefully gain their interest enough to give them a visit for all their bike needs. Although it will be a challenge to attain the interest of the students walking by, but hopefully the art work will gain plenty of interest. In preparation for the work shop I have been first gathering bottle caps then spray painting them with a white mate base paint, which will allow the students to develop artistic designs within the caps by using markers. The white background will allow the students designs to stand out from within the caps. I have also been drafting and developing an instruction sheet which is filled with different fun designs and patterns which one could fallow step by step or even gather ideas from to develop their own styles.
